Sora at Hughes Hollow, too

Along with many of the shorebirds reported by Chris Barnard--more than 20 Killdeer, at least a dozen Least, and a Pectoral Sandpiper (all at a "proper" distance)--a Sora was moving among the grasses toward the back of the big impoundment (as you face it from the dike). Also about as many Green Herons as you'd have patience to count.

And on the subject of shorebirds: It was Rob Hilton who alerted us to the Piping Plover at Skimmer Island yesterday.
