Their are some good birds being seen offshore of Delaware and Maryland
from fishing boats, and we have a pelagic scheduled for this Saturday
sailing out of Lewes, DE.

A WHITE-FACED STORM-PETREL was seen on Friday, 8/3 about 40 miles or
so offshore right near the DE/MD border. The bird was found by Mike
Fritz who will be one of our leaders this Saturday.

A MANX SHEARWATER was seen on Sunday, 8/5 in MD waters also about 40
miles out. The bird was found by Mike Fritz and Ed Sigda. Ed is
another of our leaders this Saturday.

Earlier in July, a SOUTH POLAR SKUA and 2 MANX SHEARWATERS were found
near the DE/MD border.

This weekend's pelagic out of Lewes, DE has 5 spaces left. If anybody
is interested and wishes to hold a space, e-mail or call us.

There are also 2 spaces left on the overnight trip leaving Thursday
evening, August 23. This trip will be primarily in Maryland waters.
