Warm, muggy, hazy and mostly overcast skies made for less than ideal birding
conditions. Humidity was such that one could cut it with a knife. The cicadas
were tuning in with such intensity it sounded like the singing in the overhead lines
as a light rail car approaches. Temps in the 80's combined with the other factors
encouraged one not to dawdle; I was out and back in less than 2 1/2 hrs. [1025-
1245]. Capitals denote birds of note among those seen and/or heard*:
