I checked my e-mail rather late this afternoon to and found an alert from Jo
Solem re possibility of the ibis wandering into HowCo. I arrived at the
Lost Lake area about 2:30, where I just managed to get a parking place. I
circled the lake, and went down to the river, and didn't get so much as a
Green Heron.

Having never seriously ventured into the Avalon area, I decided to drive
around, get acquainted with the lay out, so rather than heading straight
out, crossed the bridge at Gun Rd., and something told me stop, and look.
There wasn't any traffic, so I could do so safely. Upstream, nothing, but
quick glance down, and there was a big, brown wader, with orangy decurved
bill, on the HowCo side of the mid-line of the river. I threw it into
reverse (again, no traffic around), made for the parking lot on the BaltCo
side, and scrambled back with the gear. By this time, the bird had moved
decidedly to the BaltCo side, where it proceeded to actively feed. I shot a
lot of pictures, but most will be blurry, because the bird was so active.

Otherwise, nothing much around except a lot of Chimney Swifts.

It's not every day you get to put a rare bird on TWO county lists!
