To follow up on Joe Hanfman's post, the immature WHITE IBIS
was still present at Lost Lake when we left at 7:25 pm. It
remained on its perch preening and relaxing the whole time.
At one point one of the immature YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS
came in very close (< 10 ft), providing excellent views (too
bad the light was fading for pictures). Very tame.
Other good birds too -- here's my list submitted to eBird:
Green Heron 1
Black-crowned Night-Heron 1
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron 3
White Ibis 1
Yellow-billed Cuckoo 1
Barred Owl 1
Chimney Swift 20
Red-bellied Woodpecker 2
Eastern Wood-Pewee 1
Great Crested Flycatcher 1
American Crow 3
Carolina Chickadee 1
Tufted Titmouse 1
Carolina Wren 1
Wood Thrush 1
Gray Catbird 2
Northern Cardinal 1
American Goldfinch 1
