I spent two hours between 4PM and 6PM looking for the White Ibis at and
around Lost Lake, Avalon Area, PVSP with no luck. Little did I know it was
sitting by the river downstream by the bridge when I arrived or that it
would come and land by the pond 15 minutes after I left.....

I did however get to spend some quality time with the very tame juvenile
night-herons at the pond and photographed the yellow-crowned NH Derek
mentioned at less than ten feet in the open by one of the platforms.

See photos at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/frodejacobsen/

Only birds of notice beside the three YCNH and one BCNH reported earlier
was 1-2 Green Herons, some chattering Baltimore Orioles and a very noisy
Red-shouldered Hawk.

I will try again for the WHIB when the park gates open at 9AM tomorrow.
