This evening I was told that Brooke Meanley died recently in
Kennebunkport, Maine.  He was 92. I won't say much since I am sure many
of you knew him a lot better than I did.  He spent many years living in
Maryland and working at Patuxent.  He was well known for his knowledge
and love of rails, wild rice and saltwater marshes, and I am sure much
more.
