After a very quiet weekend at the Park it was nice to see a return of
warblers. I found a male MOURNING WARBLER at the equitation field
below Picnic Area 18. It was posing on a low, bare branch no more
than 20 feet away. A small collection of other warblers appeared at
the ridge just as the sun lit up the west wall of trees. They included:

Canada - 5
Blackburnian - 3
Chestnut-sided
Blue-winged
Black-throated Green - 3
Magnolia
Redstart - 2

Others:
Red-eyed Vireo - 6+
Tufted Titmouse - 8
White-breasted Nuthatch - 3
Carolina Chickadee - 5
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 6+
Towhee
Peewee - 4
Robin - 10
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 8

At the Maintenance Yard, I was joined by Marjorie who spotted a
Canada Warbler. Other birds at the Yard included:

Redstart
Great-crested Flycatcher
Peewee - 4
Red-eyed Vireo - 3
House Wren
Carolina Wren
Goldfinch
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher - 8+
Nuthatch - 2
Tufted Titmouse - 4
Chickadee - 3
Blue Jay
