Hi All. I took a quick stop into Perryville Town Park this afternoon. I scanned the Flats from the point and was pleasantly surprised to find at least 20 Black Terns flying from the Red Point just South of North East to Aberdeen Proving Grounds. One group of 10 was real cool to see. They were to far out to photograph but I will find a way to get out there in my Kayak and make it happen. I don't think but one was close enough to ID with binoculars. I used my Lieca, and even with that they were way out.
On another note, I had the earliest Yellow-rumped Warbler here for Cecil County that I have ever had. I did photograph it too just incase anyone thinks I am looking at something else. Please feel free to see the photos.
There were lots of Pied billed Grebes, Cormorants, Great-blue Herons, Osprey, Least Terns, Forsters, and Caspian Terns.
I did have, you guest it another Red-breasted Nuthatch as well today. Out near the point in Perryville.
Also, I did have 2 Merlins flying over head in a South West direction today at Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace.
