Hi all,

I spent a couple of hours at Finzel Swamp this morning, just before
daybreak, Swainson's Thrushes, Veeries, and lots of warblers were heard
calling overhead. As I started out along the road, warblers started
"falling" from the sky. Birds were flitting everywhere, some highlights
were Philadelphia Vireos heard singing on one side the swamp, and also seen
near the parking area, Nashville Warblers, lots of Black-throated Blue,
Black-throated Green and Magnolia Warblers, and one Yellow-bellied
Flycatcher. A more or less complete list follows, some numbers are
estimates (~)

Eastern Wood-Peewee 3
Empidonax flycatcher a few in distant trees
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher 1
Eastern Phoebe 2
Eastern Kingbird 1
Philadelphia Vireo 3-4
Red-eyed Vireo ~10
Blue-headed Vireo 1
Red-breasted Nuthatch 2
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
Swainson's Thrush ~ 20 calls
Veery ~ 40 calls
Gray Catbird lots
Chestnut-sided Warbler 3
Magnolia Warbler 15
Black-throated Blue Warbler ~ 40
Black-throated Green Warbler ~ 25

Black-and-white Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat lots
Mourning Warbler 1
