Dear Friends,

In an effort to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week and
celebrate our wonderful birds, there will be a "Big Sit" at Patuxent
Research Refuge on 14 October. Details on the Refuge (Laurel, MD)
here:
http://www.fws.gov/northeast/patuxent/prrdefault.html

The concept is simple, there will be a 17-foot diameter circle near
the National Wildlife Visitor Center where there will be set up
chairs and binoculars. Participants will identify as many birds as
possible during the day. We may not have lots of birds, but we
should have lots of fun! Youre welcome to join at any time on
October 14 - for all or part of the day (8:00 am to 2:00 pm).

This is not an exclusive event, nor is it a fund-raiser. It's just
a short and fun event - run in cooperation with the Refuge staff -
that is designed to share the wonder of birds with others.

There is plenty of time before the event next month... So, please
share this news with others who might be interested.

You can also find other details on The Big Sit! - taking place
across the country on the same day - here:

See the flyer below for details and directions.
