In response to those who asked about directions to the Maintenance  
Yard, I offer the following:

The Yard is close to the Rock Creek Park Nature Center a 5200 Glover  
Road, NW, Washington DC.  To get there from various locations I refer  
you to the following site:

 From the Nature Center parking lot, walk about two minutes to the  
stables---i.e., go south.  Your objective should be to get to the  
back end of the Yard where various materials, gravel and sand is  
stored.  From the front of the stables, proceed south down a path  
parallel to the fenced in Maintenance Yard for about 5 minutes to the  
back end of the Yard.  Turn right into the Yard.

If this sounds a bit complicated, meet me tomorrow morning in the  
Nature Center Parking Lot at 7AM and I will lead the way.
