Decided to do a follow-up to yesterday's BBC Tuesday morning outing, but
starting later to avoid the traffic crush. More of a "walk" walk than a bird walk,
so the no.'s were greatly reduced. Some worth mentioning:
GB Heron--several still hangin' 'round
Green Heron--a single, not often seen at this time
Canada Goose--yes(!), a single seen on last several outings; injured?
Phoebe--single; getting latish?
B&W Warbler--a single, freelancing; just able to spot it--after 2 hrs--before I
was beset by 2 threatening Labs; they couldn't understand
why I failed to react to their efforts. They don't know birders.
BT Blue Warbler--a pair of splendid males (forgive the chauvinism) foraging
cooperatively.
MD Yellowthroat--a single, kicked out of low shrub as I battled the "stick-tights"
with my trusty tripod walking stick.
