It was midday and didn't have our binocs, but still saw and heard a few
birds:

Common Raven (saw and heard)

Black Vulture

Turkey Vulture

American Goldfinch (Heard)

Carolina chickadee

White breasted nuthatch

Wood Thrush

A birder we saw in the parking lot said he'd seen a Brown thrasher.

Also saw only one butterfly, I thought we'd see monarchs flying through, but
no luck. The butterfly we saw was being eaten by a praying mantis.
