Caroline County Bird Club Field trip to Bird Band Demo in Northern QA County

  Hi all just a quick  note to report that on Sunday  Sept  23, 07    I led  
a  group of 13  Memders  and guests of the Caroline County  Bird Club  to  
Jim Gruber's  Bird Banding site  in Northern Queen Annes  County .    Where 
he and his  helpers  showed us up close from 9:00 am till about 12:00 noon   
banding  the birds , net checks .      ID  tip on some species  that work 
when  inhand.  Birds  seen

Trail's Flycatcher   1
Wood Pewee
Mocker
Catbird
Thrasher
Goldfinch
WHITE THROATED SPARROW     1    first of fall for them as well as us
RUBY CROWNED   KINGLET      1
Cardinal
Red Eyed Vireo
Bobwhite  Quail      1 female  they do not band them though
Blue Grosbeak
Indigo  Bunting
Common Yellow Throats
Black and white Warblers     several
Black Throated Blue warbler      female
Magnolia Warbler
Redstart
CONNECTICUT     WARBLER        1      lifebird for many     , Only my second

Birds seen or heard  but not banded

Blue Jays
Red Breasted Nuthatch
Solitary Sandpiper
