I heard a Screech Owl last night around 8 p.m. near my house in the Indian 
Spring neighborhood of Silver Spring. I haven't heard one so close to home 
in several years.

Around 9pm I was on the second floor of the house in which I'm staying in
Snow Hill, MD, with the windows open. From the Episcopal Church across the
street, I heard an Eastern Screech Owl. It's a beautiful night so I went 
outside
to determine from where it was singing with no luck. The traffic on Market
Street/Rt 12 can be very loud even at that time of night.
