About a week ago, I heard a Screech Owl at 4 a.m. in Wheaton, two blocks from Sligo Creek. I went outside to look for it with no luck -- although I think it was just across the street.

Around 9pm I was on the second floor of the house in which I'm staying in
Snow Hill, MD, with the windows open. From the Episcopal Church across the
street, I heard an Eastern Screech Owl. It's a beautiful night so I went
outside
to determine from where it was singing with no luck. The traffic on Market
Street/Rt 12 can be very loud even at that time of night.
