Bombay Hook Delaware

My husband and I birded Bombay Hook today and it was quite birdy.  The area 
near the HQ building had an immature BALTIMORE ORIOLE, several EASTERN 
PHOEBES, a PALM WARBLER, lots of YELLOW RUMPED WARBLERS, RUBY 
CROWNED KINGLETS and SONG and SWAMP SPARROWS.  Raymond Pool was 
packed with shorebirds the majority being both YELLOWLEGS, DOWITCHERS 
and DUNLINS.  The tree line adjacent to the Bear Swamp tower was also very 
birdy-we had a CAPE MAY WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, tons of YELLOW 
RUMPS,  WHITE CROWNED SPARROWS, several EASTERN TOWHEES, YELLOW 
BELLIED SAPSUCKER and another PALM WARBLER (western race).    AMERICAN 
AVOCETS seemed to be everywhere!    All in all it was a good day at the Hook!
