I had great views of a beautifully marked Lincoln's sparrow at Cromwell
Valley Nature Center this morning (10/08) at around 9:30 am at Cromwell
Valley Nature Center.
Look for the crisp, thin dark streaks on the breast. This bird was
really accessible to view!

The bird was located at the tall weedy patch that is located on the sw
side of the bridge that is south of the main parking lot. The patch also
had song and swamp sparrows, and I was able to see the Lincoln's on two
occasions with the song sparrow and on one occasion with the swamp
sparrow, as it perched in the 5' small saplings. White-throated and
White-crowned were also seen there. This bird responded to my squeaking.

Elsewhere at Cromwell Valley, I had, among the usual suspects, 2
Sapsuckers and 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Yellow-rumped and Yellowthroat
were the only warblers for the day.

                        Good Birding!
