I visited Hughes first thing this morning.

While standing at the spot where the cross-pathhits the main path I heard a SORA call twice. I think it was in the ditch, which has some water and that runs parallel to the cross-path, rather than the impoundment. It was close by but I could not see it.

The main path has a lot of sparrows as others have reported. I found a single LINCOLN's as well as a single Savannah and around 10 White-crowned Sparrows in with the Song, Swamp and White-throated Sparrows. Juncos, Field Sparrows and Towhee were also seen/heard. I found about 10 Rusty Blackbird on the main path but they were flushed, presumably by some raptor that went by unseen.

  Regards
