Queen Annes County Birds Nov 3, 07

  Hi all  after a  run to Dorchester on  Fri  11 - 2 - 07   to see the Red Phalarope  at Blackwater Wildlife  Refuge a  nice Lifebird by the way .   I stayed a little closer to home today 11 - 3 - 07  . I had to make a run to the landfill near Centreville and a  errand in town .   I birded my way home though not in a direct way  making several stops .  Most important  though  were the   Pine Siskins at my thistle feeder this morning   my first in several years .

White Breasted Nuthatch   1
Carolina Chickadee  3
Tufted Titmouse    2
Goldfinch      2

Birds seen   Rt 309 pond  close to  Rt 213   Centreville  

Canada Geese    200   give  or take a few 
Mallards
Ruddy Ducks    several  
Green Winged Teal  
Gadwall      1
 and      1   Bill Hubick   came up from behind   on his way to the lower shore 

Tuckahoe State Park     Trail  Queen Annes County side of lake  next to boat ramp 
Not much here today 

Canada Geese
Coopers Hawk
Mockingbird      2
Savannah Sparrow      1

Rollingbridge road      near    Rt  301    
vegtable farm 

Canada Geese       60
Snow Goose     1 in among the Canadas 
Coopers Hawk    1
Horned Lark
American Pipit     at least 20    larks and pipits flushed when cooper swooped in
