Hi Everyone,

The last few weeks have brought a series of new yard birds to our place in Pasadena. The latest was this afternoon, a migrant FIELD SPARROW feeding with our juncos and white-throats. Other recent highlights were an immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW (Eastern ssp.) on 10/22, our first PURPLE FINCH (female) on 11/3, and a migrant BELTED KINGFISHER circling overhead on 11/4.

  Good birding!

  Bill
