RT 309 pond near Rt 213 Queen Annes County Md

          Hi all after work  yesterday afternoon   11  - 5 - 07  I made a stop at the Rt  309 pond about 1 mile from    Rt 213  near Centreville Maryland  to look for the American Golden  plovers Bill Hubick had there on  Sunday .  I was able to locate two of them along with a  large flock of Killdeer  .The pond  held a nice variety of ducks  as well .  Below is my list birds seen at 4:30 pm till  near dark  


Bald Eagle        1 adult    sitting in the field near the pond 
Killdeer      200 at least  in fields front and  back of the pond 
American Golden Plover       2        in front field 
Northern shoveler       4
Pintail      7
Black Duck    57
Mallard   33
Ruddy Duck    28
Gadwall      4
Coot     1

Mammals 

White Tailed  Deer       4
Red  Fox      1
