Hi all,
I went for a walk today at Greenbelt Lake. The highlight was 2 Pine
Siskins feeding with 15-20 Goldfinches at a couple of new large thistle
feeders in one of the yards adjoining the park. Frequent visitors to the
lake will know the house I mean; the one with a pool crammed into the tiny
yard. I don't think the homeowner will mind the occasional park visitor
taking a peak at his feeders since he has come outside and chatted with my
brother a few times about birds and birding.

There were few water birds of interest at the lake. Just one Pied-billed
Grebe, a few Ruddy Ducks and several Wood Ducks among the many Mallards and
Canada Geese.
I also had one Red-tailed Hawk fly by.
