We always have large numbers of American goldfinches most of the year, so
it's hard to gauge for us...  there does seem to me a few more... but
finally we also have a handful of Pine siskins mixed in with them, and also
a few female Purple finches.  The "finch explosion" has reached Pleasant
Valley.
