Hello all.

I recieved a call this morning about the Cave Swallow in Havre de Grace and
thought checking similar habitat in my area wouldn't hurt. To save any
suspense, I didn't find any, but I did find another Siskin and a few other
notables...including 2 Forster's Terns.

The wind was strong and kept most of the birds down, but it was worth it to
get out to bird.

Highlights:

Swan Creek/Cox Creek Dredge Containment Facility, City Line, AACO:

Great Blue Heron: 11 All huddled in one 'corner' of the old wetland
GREEN-WINGED TEAL: 3 two female, 1 male
Lesser Scaup: 10+ On the Patapsco
Bufflehead: 4 Patapsco
LONG-TAILED DUCK: 2 Patapsco, two males
Double-crested Cormorant: 6
Ring-billed Gull: 120+ Mostly grounded on the tidal flat
Herring Gull: 12+ North Dredge Cell
Great Black-backed Gull: 55+ Scattered and mostly grounded
FORSTER'S TERN: 2 Over the beach, past the wetland complex
Bald Eagle: 1 adult over the south cell
Gray Catbird: 1 Upland trail
Song Sparrow: 4
Swamp Sparrow: 1 Mitigated wetland, heard only
White-throated Sparrow: 21
Dark-eyed Junco: 10+
PINE SISKIN: 1 Flew into the treeline just past the wetlands
American Goldfinch: 20+

Brandon Woods Pond:

Canada Goose: 12
Hooded Merganser: 6 three male, three female
GADWALL: 1 male

Other areas:

Ponds at Weinberg Park (both), Venice on the Bay, Bayside Beach, Orchard
Beach and Riviera Beach produced small numbers of common waterfowl and a
few seasonal sparrows at pond edges.
