This morning (11/16) I made a brief trip to a blustery Meadowbrook Park. The
highlight for me was seeing 3 American Pipits feeding in a grassy ball field west
of the pavilion and parking lot. Two others flew overhead as did one Pine
Siskin. A small flock of Chipping Sparrows huddled in a grassy area near the
pathway; when one kept looking around and up I did too and noticed an adult
Red-shouldered Hawk flying overhead. Also at Meadowbrook was my first Fox
Sparrow of the season which is later than last year.
