HI all, about 2pm I was at McGregor”s Restaurant and I was sitting eating
lunch. I saw a swallow gliding around the little cove there next to the Tide
water restaurant, which is on the Susquehanna river. It looked more plump and
shorter tailed over all than a Tree swallow, and then it hit me. So I left my
friend sitting there and got out to my truck and went for my camera. I only
had my 18-55mm lens. So I got my bino's and chased it down. I only saw it for
about a minute as it headed South toward the Marinas and the light house
area but I saw a square tail and a pale rump patch .It had whitish belly and a
tawney throat. I couldn't believe what I saw.
I got my big lens now and am heading back.
