Yesterday, Nov.20, at Pig Point just north of Jug Bay, I found a pale Myiarchus flycatcher, and watched it up close for about ten minutes. I identified it as an Ash-throated Flycatcher. To get a back up on this sighting I went to the Jug Bay (Anne Arundel) office and found Karyn Molines who returned with me to the spot. We watched the bird feeding actively, flying out over a field from a marshside hedgerow. It was an immature and so did not show field marks well. We called Jim Stasz, whose office is nearby, and left a message. Today (Thanksgiving) is quite warm , so the bird should still be around. It is in private property (Bill Brown"s place), but I have notified him that birders might be visiting.
