Dear MDOspreyers:
Please forgive this off-topic post, but our friends in Delaware would
like us to know that their new Birding Trail is ready for kickoff. Jeff
Gordon, who led the development of the Delaware Birding Trail, asked me
to post the following message on his behalf. They are asking people who
bird Delaware in the next week to send in their findings for possible
prizes and to come out for the ribbon cutting.

Birding Delaware this week? Help us premier the Delaware Birding Trail!
Hello, Maryland birders--
I hope you'll forgive a somewhat off-topic post, but we could really use
your help. We know that from time to time, some of you go birding in
Delaware. Well, if you're coming through anytime between Dec 1 - 7, you
can help us launch our brand-new Delaware Birding Trail in style. You
can also pick up your own freshly-inked copy of the trail map and guide
for free. If you send us your sightings, photographs, or written
description of what you find, you might even win some pretty cool
prizes, including books and CDs from Houghton-Mifflin or a Apple iPod
Nano with BirdJam audio software.
And you're most welcome to join us Saturday, December 8 at 1 PM at
Bombay Hook visitor center for our official ribbon cutting ceremony.
Further information on all these events and activities can be found on
our website, which is up now in a very basic, placeholder form:
www.delawarebirdingtrail.org
Or, you can contact me directly.
Thanks, and I hope to see you in the field soon, whatever side of the
state line.
Best,
Jeff
