Of the group that was present in the 9am to noon time frame, I think I was the only one to see the bird.? John Dennehy briefly got on it before it flew, but just saw enough to know it wasn't one of the many House Finches.? The flock was very skittish and looking at treetop birds against a gray sky is never easy.? When I saw it was perched in the Tulip Poplars immediately behind Noah's house and we were watching from the park side.? This was around 11:30-11:40am and the flock was only present for a couple minutes and I only saw the bird for about 15 seconds.?

Hi all,
Business and a doctor's appt. brought me close to Sligo Creek Pkwy this
afternoon so I stopped by about 1 PM till about 2 PM with no luck. Reportedly
others had the bird earlier in the day, but the House Finch flock was seemingly

skittish today, flying over and/or briefly landing before heading off. It
didn't help that there was a small maintenance crew working on sewer lines on
the hill behind Noah's house, nor the workmen doing deck work next door, I
suppose. And the local cat walking about between folks legs, etc. and also a
Cooper's Hawk present this morning. So small wonder I didn't see the bird.

Keep up the reports though, one way or the other. With the holidays next
week, more folks are off and maybe able to catch glimpses.

And as a side note; Noah gets quite a good assortment of birds to his
feeders/bath for the location. Thanks Noah for posting! We did have a pretty
male
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in some trees while there this afternoon.
