HI Andy, More than likely the same bird. Dave went back into the landfill  
for a second pass around 10:15 seeing only a harrier at that late hour. In the  
early AM, before we (my daughter Alli and I) met up with him he saw the one  
Short-eared Owl, as you said.
 
Did you attend the tally?
 
 We headed home around 12:30 as both of us are fighting nasty sinus  
infections. Jay told me he also had a single Long-eared on yesterdays count, at  a 
secret location.
