Hi All,

On Saturday while looking for the shrike again I had a Common Redpoll flyover three times, the last time it was in company of Goldfinches. Also around the Antietam Battlefield are a good number of Purple Finches, Myrtle Warblers, a couple Chipping Sparrows, and I found a Black-capped Chickadee near the end of the driving tour. I saw the Loggerhead Shrike again briefly again, this time in the treeline along Smoketown Road.

Later in the day I went to Mt. Aetna Camp along Mt. Aetna Road, a Pine Siskin and five Purple Finches were in the mix at the Nature Center feeders. The Nature Center is open to the public on Saturday between 2pm and 5pm.

On Sunday among other things I made a number of stops along the Potomac River from the mouth of the Antietam Creek to Weaverton. Just down from the Antietam I found 39(!) Wood Duck, a Common Merganser, 5 Common Goldeneye, and 6 Bufflehead. At Dam #3 there was a Canvasback and 4 Ring-neck Ducks.
