Hi all,
My brother and I spent yesterday birding Blackwater NWR and Ocean City.
At Blackwater we saw nothing unusual. We focused on finding the American
White Pelicans but did not see them.

In Ocean City conditions were not very good for scoping the ocean, and
the ducks were generally scarce around the inlet. However we did spot one
female Common Eider around 2 pm.

Around 3:30 I thought I might have had an Eared Grebe at the Convention
Center but a salty objective lens, a stiff wind, an unexpected appearance
from the sun, and a constantly diving bird made the ID impossible. We did
get pretty good looks at a Peregrine Falcon on the water tower by the
Convention Center.

By the way, according to several signs around Ocean City, the Route 50
bridge into Ocean City will be closed on 1/17/08.
