Happy New Year all, and ditto to Rick - Thanks to Norm and Fran for keeping 
this list available to MD/DC (and other) birders!  I started off the new year 
with a great morning birdwatching at our house.  We are in PG County by Jug 
Bay.  The nice variety today was a bit of a surprise, since I was out 
yesterday for 6 hours on the Bowie CBC, and worked very hard to get up to 
50 species for the day.  As they say, a new day can make all the difference!  
Noteworthy were a Hermit Thrush, and very large flock of Rusty Blackbirds. I 
scanned them for something different but saw only Rusty's.  Numbers posted 
are high counts of birds seen at one time.
