Terrapins are not uncommon on the bald eagle's menu.

A few years back I had occasion to visit some bald eagle nests. One 
of them held an empty terrapin shell and there were fragments of 
another shell on the ground. I doubt bald eagles are terribly 
particular about eating anything as long as there is meat on it.
