At 4:15 this afternoon, I was driving north on
I-95 just prior to Exit 74 (Magnolia/Joppatowne)
when I saw a large bird flying south. It had long
legs held behind it and a long neck held straight
out in front of it. From this posture, I assume it
was a Sandhill Crane. It looked to be flying
towards the Gunpowder delta area.

The eagle looked down on the river below
And he wrapped his wings round him and he fell
like a stone
And the big salmon fought but the talons held true
And he shuddered as the world turned from silver
to blue
