The Ross's Goose was in Kent County today but not at Great Oaks. It was far out in a field on Worton Road Rt 297 about 4 miles as the bird flies. From Chestertown head North on 213 turn left onto 297 and the farm about a mile on the right has a big pond and field that held about 500 Snow Geese. The Ross's was in the front of the flock.
Cambridge held about 5 or 6 Redheads today on Oakley St, also including 15 Surf Scoters, 10 American Widgeon, 25 Greater Scaup, a couple hundred Canvasbacks.
Elliott's Island Road held: 1 American Bittern, 5 Wilson's Snipe, 20 Greater Yellowlegs, 10 Northern Harriers, 6 Short-eared Owls, 2 Great-horned Owls, 1 Tree Swallow, 5 Great-blue Herons, 2 Black crowned Night-herons, 2 Virginia Rails, 1 Marsh Wren, 1 Chipping sparrow, 4 Savannah Sparrows, 15 Junco's, 1 singing Eastern Meadow Lark.
I am sure I forgot something.
