The highlight of a late morning walk around Southwest Area Park in Lansdowne
was a yellow (eastern) PALM WARBLER, glimpsed briefly as a flash of yellow
in the weeds just across the foot bridge from the boat ramp, and then seen
well in the trees and scrub uphill from there. This is the first one I've seen
in winter around here. The only other sighting of note was a foraging group of
4-5 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS in the same location where the warbler first
appeared.
