I spent Saturday 1/5/08 in lower Worcester County.? Pre-dawn and dawn were at Truitt's where by chance Dave Powell joined me.? Dave and I went on to bird Taylor's Landing, E.A Vaughn WMA [north], the Pocomoke WWTP and Hickory Point.? In the afternoon Dave and I split up...he to look for county birds in eastern Somerset while I headed off to do sunset at Deal I. WMA at Riley Roberts Road.? Highlights included 5 species of wrens, Saltmarsh and Nelson's [James Bay] sparrows, Orange-crowned Warbler, Lesser Yellowlegs, Least Sandpiper, Blue-headed Vireo, Snowy Egret and Tricolored Heron.?
The two male Brewer's Blackbirds flew out of roost at? Truitt's before Dave arrived.? The Blue-headed Vireo was at the same location where Mark Hoffman found it for the Crisfield CBC.?
