Stopped briefly at Lake Artemesia this am. Along with the usual geese & ducks I found a Red-shouldered Hawk, a Coopers Hawk, a Belted Kingfisher, and a Hermit Thrush standing in the middle of a trail for about 5 miinutes. It was warm enough that a House Finch was singing.

With an even briefer stop at the Patuxent "South Tract" I found 8+ Wilson Snipe at the upper end of Cash Lake, Swamp Sparrows, and a pair of Hooded Mergansers among the Ring-necks.
