Hi all just want to post a few of my highlights from the combined kent County bird club and Cecil club trip to Eastern Neck on 1- 5 - 08 led by Walter Ellison. I am not posting the whole list just some highlights. Walter may post the whole list latter total was 60 species I think.

Scaup Lesser and Greater - many
Canvas Backs lots
Red Breasted Merganser 1 First of the year for me
Bald Eagle several one adult feeding on dead female scaup , great scope views
Yellow Bellied Sapsucker 3
Red Headed Woodpecker 1 immature
Brown Creeper 1
Brown Thrasher 1
Fox Sparrow one singing
Swamp Sparrows many

midafternoon a small group headed to Great Oak Pond upon arriving there not much other then a few Snow Geese a some Canadas on the frozen pond. both in low numbers . A little latter some large flocks of Snow Geese flew over headed west . Maybe it was Sean's Snows from that morning .
