   Took a brief trip to Piscataway Park yesterday to see what was on the river...
  The shallows to a few yards out were frozen, but most of the river remained clear.
  Here is a list of waterfowl & other:
   
  Tundra Swan (approx 15-20) 
  Ring neck Duck
  Ruddy Duck
  Red Heads  (5-8)
  Surf Scoter 1 drake (close to shore)
  Lesser Scaup 40+
  Canada Geese
  Gadwall 35+
  Mallards & Black Ducks
  Common Merganser
  Red breasted Merganser
  Buffle Heads
  Ring billed Gulls
  Fish Crow
  Bald Eagle
  Great Blue Heron 6
  White thrt Sparrow
  Dark eyed junco
  Golden crowned Kinglets
  Cardinal
  Song Sparrow
