I went by the Northern Saw-Whet Owl spot in Rockville (Montgomery Co)
late this morning and saw the Owl at what is described at his usual
roost. There is quite a bit of whitewash on the sidewalk, so it would
seem that the Owl is well fed. Thank you, Paul for helping us see this
little gem.
Then, I drove to Arnold, MD (Anne Arundel Co) and arrived just in time
to see the Painted Bunting at the feeder. Mark Scallion was at the spot
already, so we got to observe him until a Red-belled Woodpecker chased
him away. I arrived about 60 seconds after Leo Weigant left - sorry
Leo. Thank you Dan for your directions.
