Montgomery Bird Club Members,
We received the sad news last night that Paul Dumont has passed
away. His long service as trip leader and organizer will be sorely
missed, to say nothing of his encyclopedic knowledge of birds. He
was indeed one of a kind, and those of us who knew him are grateful
for that. Plans for a memorial are still pending, but will be passed
along once the family has made decisions.
To those of you interested in the annual President's Day Weekend
trip: it is as yet undetermined whether the trip will go or not. It
is probably best if you notify Helen Patton (301-588-5418,
) if you would like to go on this trip. Even if
you had left a message for Paul please call her as we do not have
access to his reservation list yet.
Hi all,
I don't mean to step on toes here, but I just picked up this message from
my email, and thought it should be shared with the MDOsprey community at
large, as Paul's life touched those across the state and beyond.
Sad news indeed.
