The bird was there again from 11:50 to about 11:57. Marcia Balestri and I
got a very nice look, but Marcia regretted leaving her scope in the car (I
didn't even think to bring one). What a great look that would have been!
Nonetheless, binocs were fine.

As for the bamboo forests that are plentiful in the area, I have 2
solutions:

1) release pandas on them

2) better yet, and closer to my heart, bring back the fine art of making
bamboo into fly rods. What ever happened to that? I admit mine are graphite,
but if they are reasonably priced I could try bamboo. Honest.
