The Kennard Elementary School Youth Birders plus a few from Centreville
MIddle School were also at Blackwater on Saturday morning. They did not
find quite the variety of the Montegomery County Bird Club ... missed a few
of the LBJs which is probably natural. They did have two birds that must
have flew the park before the Bird Club arrived ... a Great Egret and one
very lonely Greater Yellowlegs.
I was surprised at the lack of a variety of ducks ... mallards and Pintails
and Shovelers and 3 Green Winged Teal (we also missed the teal).
