It was indeed Harold Morrin who took the photograph of the White-faced
Storm Petrel. One minor quibble is that the trip was organized by Ed
Strickland, who ran the first series of summer birding trips just off
the Delaware coast. Paul was, however, the one who recognized the
Petrel as one of a species which had recently been seen in North
Carolina and, typically, knew absolutely everything necessary to
determine its identity, just in case he saw one somewhere.
