Lisa and I found ourselves in Cambridge about 2:30, after helping with the Patuxent Waterbird survey in Solomons, and then stopping by Cypress Creek to see the Evening Grosbeak. (We got quick looks as it flew off).

Oakley Street was as advertised _ amazing close_up views (and great photos) of Canvasback, Redhead, Wigeon, both scaup, 1 Black Duck, and Surf Scoter and Goldeneye out in the river.

At Blackwater, we missed some of the treats like SEOW, GWFG and GOEA, but had some tremendous birding nontheless:

_ Snow Goose, 1000 or more rising off the water like a cloud and then settling back down.

_ Am White Pelican, We counted 11.

_ Tundra Swan, 4.

_ Bald Eagle, at least 4, including imm chasing adult right over our heads.

_ Dunln, 2.

_ Killdeer

_ No Shoveler, numerous

_ No Pintail, 30 to 40

_ Northern Harrier, flying everywhere.

_ Kestrel

_ Cooper's Hawk, 2 in flight and acting amorous.

_ Common Merganser, 3, out in the river.

_ Tree Swallows

Now on our way to OC Inlet.. Good birding!
