Hi all,
Along with Jim's peepers, I saw a basking painted turtle out at Blue Mash
today. I did a brisk walk around about noon, after business in Silver Spring.
My only other good sighting was of an orange butterfly seen flying across the
trail. A few Red-tailed Hawks and a male Purple Finch were the only avian
highlights.

It's nice to see the ponds have both finally filled with water again! But on
the downside, the place is starting to look trashy. Bits of plastic and
scraps, bottles etc. beginning to appear all over; sad.
